Welcome To Clear Creek Animal Hospital!
Our tour starts in the reception room. As you enter the door, Gertie and Carmen our Cockatiels are on your left. The reception desk is in front of you, and the retail area is on your right. We will start with the part of the reception room on your left and go in a circle through the hospital and back to the reception room. Enjoy the tour!
Our reception room was designed to put you and you pet at ease when you enter the hospital. There is plenty of room to relax, read and visit with Gertie and Carmen. On the other side of the reception room you can sit, read the paper, have a cup of coffee and look over our recommended toys, leashes and collars as well as the prescription diets we offer.
Before the exam, your pet will be weighed on the digital scale at the front door. We like to try to guess your pet's weight before they step onto the scale. And yes, you can weigh yourself- we won't look!
The reception room, exam rooms and the comfort room all display photographs by Russell Smoak of Inner Image Photographics. Most of the dogs are working or retired from the Guide Dogs for the Blind association. The kitties were kind enough to pose for the camera. Many thanks to Jane and Russell for making our hospital warm and inviting with their photographs!

The exam rooms offer a comfortable chair for you and a treat for your pet. An infant scale is used to weigh small dogs and cats. Cats especially prefer this more private setting for weigh-in. Your pet's history, exam findings and treatment are entered into the computer where the information is accessible at computer stations throughout the hospital.
The Laboratory- Where those little microscopic things that cause such big problems are seen!

Cats are housed separately from dogs to allow them to relax and recover.
A window allows us to observe, but not disturb them.
The grooming room is where magical transformations are made. There are two drying units where dogs are usually found napping while drying after their bath. A raised tub and a lift table help prevent back strain and allow Kaitlin to better groom your pet.

The isolation room is reserved for pets with contageous diseases. A window allows us to observe the pet and to immediately tend to its needs. This room is self contained; nothing comes out of this room to be used elsewhere in the hospital.

The dogs are housed in easy to clean, top of the line Shoreline stainless steel cages. Warm blankets, comforters or dog beds are used on the bottom of the cages. The dog room also has a window for observation.
The surgical prep area is where the surgical instruments are washed, cleaned in the ultrasonic cleaner (on the right), wrapped and then sterilized in the autoclave, a steam sterilizer (on the left).
The surgery suite is equipped for both general surgeries, such as spays or neuters, and speciality surgeries like an orthopedic procedure. All patients are placed on a warming blanket and monitored throughout the entire anesthetic period. The blue and white boxes circulate warm water to the blanket placed under your pet.
The white box with a screen is a high tech patient monitor, it monitors oxygen level, blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate and temperature. An EKG is also displayed during the entire anesthetic period. Because our philosophy is to offer the best health care, our monitor also measures the carbon dioxide level in your pet's blood- a value that is extremely important, but not measured in many veterinary hospitals due to the cost of the equipment.
The dental station is equipped with a top of the line DentalAire dental machine. This machine has a piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler, fiberoptic lighting and a highspeed drill, which allows us to quickly and thouroughly perform many different dental procedures. At the dental station, we also have a digital dental x-ray machine. We are now able to take incredibly fast and detailed x-rays of your pet's teeth, allowing us to provide the highest level of dental care and minimizes the amount of time your pet is under anesthesia.

Separate from the exam rooms you will find our comfort room. This is a living room within the hospital. We have a couch, chair, soft lighting and a television in here. Children can watch a movie while we discuss your pet's health care. In the past, we have also performed euthanasia in the comfort of this quiet private room.

After your pet's exam, treatment or surgery they are brought back to the reception room to go home. A treat is waiting on the counter for both you and your pet!
