Hospital Happenings
Suzie's Second Chance
**UPDATE** Suzie had her surgery done on 4/27 and is currently in rehabilitation. The surgeon has agreed to be compensated when we have all of the money, so donations are still being accepted.
"Our task must be to free ourselves, by widening our circle of compassion. To embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty." -Albert Einstein
Those words have inspired us at Clear Creek to reach out to a very special dog in need of medical care and a new home. Her name is Suzie, an six year old Rottwieler with a torn ACL and a heart of gold. The surgery that needs to be performed can be costly, and we unfortunately cannot afford the sugery on our own.
During the month of May we will be collecting donations towards Suzie's surgery. In addition to accepting cash donations we will be holding a raffle for prizes including:
-
Free vaccines for one year ($20 ticket)
-
Free spay or neuter ($20 ticket)
-
Free grooming for one year ($20 ticket)
-
Stained glass prizes (hand-made by Carolyn!) ($5 ticket)
-
Clear Creek Animal Hospital gift certificate ($15 ticket)
Drawing to be held July 1st
Each prize will have its own raffle drawing, so start saving and visit Clear Creek Animal Hospital or Paws n' Play during the month of May to donate! Suzie will be ready for adoption after her surgery, but please feel free to visit her during business hours for a treat and a belly scratch. She's a charming girl who loves people, and would love to meet you!
